Officially Fluent in English

Well folks, it's June.  That means in just seven months, Andrew & I will be moving to England.  I feel like April just started, and have this feeling that the next seven months are going to fly!

In May, I took the IELTS (International English Language Testing Services) exam to prove my fluency in English.  We are relieved this week, albeit not surprised, to learn that I passed the exam.  I've now begun my registration with the NMC (Nurses and Midwives Council) and will soon schedule the first (computer based) part of the required Test of Competence.  Andrew has begun the process of joining OM USA, from where he will be "transferred" to the UK branch of OM to do his work there.

In addition to these preparatory tasks, we are working on a handful of home-improvement projects, working full time (in fact, I am working mandatory overtime as the hospital is short staffed...), and seeking to see as much family as possible before we move.

One of the events we're most looking forward to is meeting our sweet niece next month.  Lily is five months old today, and I think every photo I see of her is even more adorable than the last.  Happy 5 months, Lily!

Seriously, how cute is she?

This past weekend, we visited Andrew's family in Cincinnati.  We had a lovely time, enjoying their company, seeing Steven dig,

walking by The Banks in downtown,

and watching the Reds take on (and beat) the Washington Nationals in a game of baseball.

Our calendar for the next number of months is getting quite full; however, there are still a few unplanned weekends.  Our guest bed is available, so if you're planning a trip to Grand Rapids, let us know.  We'd love to have you!
