This last weekend, the Inghams (the family that I am staying with presently) took me down into the Lake
District. This is a stunningly beautiful
section of England and it is just over an hour south of Carlisle by car. This
region is fairly accessible by bus as well. We spend the day hiking and enjoying the
views. It tends to rain quite a lot in
the Lake District, but we managed to stay dry for a whole day—which I’m told is
somewhat uncommon. The lighting seemed to change constantly from minute to minute throughout the day as various clouds blew by. I look forward to
returning and exploring this area more with Ann in a few weeks.
