Andrew and I want to offer and update on donations as well as our prayer requests.
First, on donations. There are two ways you can donate to our trip:
1. Tax deductible donations: Our church, Madison at the Ford, is supporting us in our missions work. You may write a check to Madison at the Ford and in the memo line write "Special Fund - Webster Mission Trip." Send us the check at our home and we will take care of getting the money to the right folks at our church. The church will send you a tax receipt for your donation. With this option, we must give the disclaimer, that the church does reserve the right, if a greater need should arise, to reallocate the money to the greater need. We have been assured that the chances of this happening are slim to none but that we need to make our donors aware of the possibility. Our church does not require a processing fee, so 100% of your donation would come back to us, assuming no crisis or greater need.
2. Non-tax deducible donations: You can opt to donate as a gift to us without receiving a tax receipt. If this is your preferred choice, please make your check out to "Andrew or Ann Webster" (so either of us can deposit it). Our home is not a non-profit, so we can't offer a tax receipt, but we can assure you that 100% of your donation will go towards funding our trip :)
Please let us know if you have any questions regarding any of this or if it's unclear in any way.
Second, prayer requests.
-Andrew leaves in 7.5 weeks and I leave in 11 weeks. Our calendar is quite full between now and then, so we appreciate prayers that preparations would continue to go well and not be too stressful.
-This week we received the paperwork necessary from OM for Andrew to apply for his visa. Pray that the process goes smoothly and the visa is easily granted with time to spare before Andrew's departure.
-We still don't know where we'll be staying in England once I arrive. Please pray that a place is made available, and for peace while we wait to know where that will be.
-Pray for us (and Greg & Mary) as we also plan our time in Bangkok following our 3 time in England. Pray for safety in travels and for a good visit with G&M.
-We meet with the health department tonight for vaccinations for our time abroad. Pray for a smooth meeting.
-Praise the Lord with us that we are working with such a wonderful church and sending organization - both have been so patient and helpful in assisting us to figure out our plans for fundraising.
-Pray that in everything we do, in preparations, and in travel, that God would given all the glory and honor and that this trip would in no way be about us, but about the One who made us.
-Pray that we would have oneness of mind as we make decisions and prepare for our time of serving in England.
