Narnia

Allow me to preface this by saying that, if I were still working at the hospital, this would have been my weekend to work.  This morning, I did not wake by an alarm, I'm currently drinking my second cup of tea (because, why not?), and I took a walk in the woods.  Our new house is at the end of a cul-de-sac, and it backs up to some undeveloped land.  We could refer to it as "the woods to our north owned by a few of our neighbors," but it's so much easier to just call it "Narnia."*

So, after a spring snowfall last night coated the landscape in beauty that looks to be from a Christmas morning in the movies, I decided to take a walk through Narnia.  While pictures simply do not do it justice, I invite you to take a peak into the beautiful walk I had this morning.

You guys.  This is the view from our back porch:

And here are some photos from Narnia:

The only other footprints besides mine were not human:

There is something uniquely beautiful about a springtime snowfall:

As the Little Orphan Annie said, "I think I'm gonna like it here."

*I must give credit where it's due: Hannah Berridge is the one who began calling the woods "Narnia" and it has stuck.
