Prayers and Praises

Our dear readers,

This post to update you on prayer requests as well as praises.

We ask for prayers for our health.  We've thankfully not experienced any significant health problems here in the UK.  However, Andrew had a fairly significant cold shortly after arriving back in August.  I got a cold shortly after I arrived, too.  

Yesterday and today, Andrew has come down with another cold.  Also, I have had hives each of the past five nights and we don't know what is causing them.  

Please pray for healing for Andrew and that my hives would either go away on their own or that the Lord would open our eyes as to their cause.  

Pray for protection on our bodies and that we would be protected from further illness or injury.  Pray that our health would allow us to serve fully here in Carlisle.

Prayer for safety in traveling as we continue to take advantage of our weekends to explore this country where God has called us to serve for this time.

Pray for my family as we are separated by location (Thailand, Pacific Northwest, Michigan, and UK) yet united in grief as we've had to say goodbye to our wonderful dog, Toby, of 13 years, this past Monday.

We praise God for a wonderful family who has opened their home to us and rented a room to us.  We have enjoyed getting to know this family and participating in family life.  We are thankful for such a warm community which has taken us in and made us feel so welcome here.

We praise God for the time we have together as a couple - we have every evening and every weekend together.  This is significantly more time than we typically enjoy in the states due to our schedules.  We praise God for this time to grow and get to know each other better as spouses.

We praise God for better weather than we could have hoped for or expected for this time of year.  As much as we would enjoy exploring the UK no matter what the weather is, the amount of sun and blue sky we've seen has made it that much more pleasant.

We praise God for work for both of us to do to further His Kingdom.  We pray that God would use us and that He would be given all the glory for the work He does through us.

We praise God for each of YOU, for your friendship, your prayers, and your support.  This trip was made possible by your love and support.  We cannot thank you enough.
