Updates

A few updates on how you can best support us financially and spiritually as we prepare for this amazing time of traveling the world and serving our Lord:

First, financial support.  We are so humbled and grateful for the donations we have received - over $1000!  If you feel called to financially support us and would like to make a tax deductible donation, please make your check out to Madison at Ford Church and put our names in the memo line.  You can mail checks to us and we will take care of getting them to the church.  Our goal is to raise $7000.

Second, we covet your prayers.  We have seen God working in so many ways.  He has confirmed for us that this trip is His will for us. 

Ways we have seen God moving:
-In our unity of mind as we make decisions regarding this trip
-In the ease of finding renters to watch our home while we're gone
-In purchasing our plane tickets, we found significantly lower prices than expected
-Andrew's first month of lodging has been arranged for a very manageable cost - he will be renting a room in the home of someone he remembers from when he was in Carlisle 3 years ago.

For these and so much more, we are grateful.

Specific prayer requests as we continue to prepare:
-Pray for us to find affordable lodging for the 10 weeks we are there together
-Pray for Andrew's visa - we are waiting for paperwork from OM so he can apply - pray that the application process goes smoothly and that the visa is easily granted
-Pray for somewhere for me to plug in and use my talents for God's Kingdom while we are there
-Pray for our time apart, from August 25 until September 20; that we would have peace while missing each other and be able to regularly communicate despite the time difference
-Pray for good health and safety while we're abroad
-Pray for our renters as they care for our home while we are away
-Pray for us to shine God's light wherever we are and to bring Him all the glory and honor
-Pray against any attacks of the enemy as prepare and seek to do God's will
-Pray that our marriage would be strengthened through following God together
